The Divemaster training program at The Scuba Diving Academy (TSDA) was born with a single objective: to train capable, responsible professionals who are fully aware of the importance of their role in recreational diving.
Throughout the program, we have worked on much more than just the skills needed to guide other divers. We have delved into physics applied to diving, buoyancy control, planning, accident prevention, emergency management, and the human factors that influence our decision-making. All of this was achieved through an active learning methodology that combines SSI training standards with complementary workshops and practical sessions developed by Anfibios Ibiza.
Because a good Divemaster is not just someone who masters a technique or accumulates dives. It is also someone who observes, listens, anticipates, instills confidence, and knows how to adapt their actions to the people and conditions of each moment. Their attitude and example can make all the difference in the experience of beginner divers and in the habits they will develop in the future.
Safety has been one of the core pillars of the program—a safety that begins before entering the water, is built with every check and every decision, and is reinforced by the humility of recognizing that there is always something left to learn. As we remembered during training: neither the sea nor physics negotiate.

We also wanted to highlight the responsibility we share with the environment. Diving allows us to discover the richness of the Mediterranean and understand the importance of protecting valuable ecosystems such as Posidonia meadows. As professionals, we have the opportunity to help others discover and respect them, becoming true ambassadors of the sea.
Completing this program represents a personal and professional achievement, but also the beginning of a new chapter. Certification is just one step along the way; experience, practice, continuous learning, and a commitment to quality will be what allow you to keep growing.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this training for your hard work, curiosity, and involvement. And thank you to the institutions and organizations that supported this project and helped make it possible.
To those completing the program today: take what you have learned with you, share it responsibly, and keep alive the passion that brought you here. Every dive is an opportunity to keep learning and to help others discover the sea.
Learn, understand, dive.
Enjoy the adventure.
